All three New Zealand competitors have finished on the podium at the Shelby County ITU Cross Tri World Championships.

The 1.5km swim, 30km mountain bike and 11km trail run at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama was a tough challenge but one the strong Kiwi athletes excelled in.

Auckland's Elizabeth Orchard stormed her way to the gold medal in the female 25-29 age group, blitzing the field with 12 minutes clear space in front of the second place finisher.

Meanwhile, fellow Kiwis Josie Sinclair (F50-54, Auckland) and Martin Ralph (M40-44, Auckland) both raced superbly to win silver medals in their age respective age groups.

In the elite race, South Africa's Conrad Stoltz won his second consecutive ITU Cross Triathlon World Championship as well as his seventh consecutive XTERRA win on the Shelby County course.
