The New Zealand squad had a successful time at the 2011 XTERRA World Championship in Maui, Hawaii.

Overall, 24 pro and age group athletes made the trip.

Multisport legend Richard Ussher finished 8th in the pro men's field while Catherine Dunn was 17th among the female pros.

In age group racing New Zealand managed four podium finishes and 14 top 10 performances.

Auckland's Lizzie Orchard (25-29) and Mike Lyons (60-64) both won their age groups while Rotorua's Oliver Shaw (20-24, pictured) finished 2nd and Rob Howell (45-49) of Christchurch was 3rd.
