An 11 medal haul over the standard distance including three golds highlighted a fantastic Triathlon Age Group World Championships for the New Zealand team in Beijing.
Leading the way was legendary Tiare Lund who added yet another World Championship title to her burgeoning CV while Hamish Hammond and Rebecca Clarke took out the men's and women's 20 to 24 age groups.
In fact in the men's 20 to 24 category, New Zealand took out 1st, 2nd, 4th and 8th with Shaun Kavanagh and Matt Harrop close behind Hammond while Will O'Connor also went top 10.
In total 27 New Zealanders finished in the top 10 for their age category over the standard distance on a day when the heat and humidity returned to Beijing as thousands of triathletes from all around the world converged to race on the 2008 Olympic Games Course.
