ITU World Championship Series Grand Final
Auckland, 18-22 October 2012
The city of Auckland, will host the 2012 ITU World Championship Series Grand Final. The Grand Final is the most prestigious race on the ITU calendar each year, and the Auckland event will be the final race to decide the 2012 ITU World Champions. The four-day event is set to take place from 18-22 October 2012 at Queens Wharf in the heart of Auckland. The sport’s biggest superstars, including Olympians from over 20 nations, will come to New Zealand.
The race, which will take place along the world famous Auckland Waterfront, will double as the 2012 ITU Age-Group World Championship, bringing thousands of age-group athletes and triathlon fans to New Zealand.
The International Triathlon Union (ITU) World Championships gives you the opportunity to be a part of a team full of the nations best age group athletes and represent New Zealand on the world stage. Triathlon is one of the few sports where no matter what age you are, you get the opportunity to pull on the black singlet and compete in the biggest triathlon event of the year.
