Contact Energy '$ per km' Cure Kids pledge

Cure Kids was established over 35 years ago with the ultimate goal of finding cures for life-threatening illnesses that affect New Zealand children. This research has helped save many young lives and improved the quality of life for thousands of children.

Since 2009 Contact Energy has incorporated Cure Kids into their primary partnership with the Contact Tri Series. With Contact's $1 per KM campaign, $1 is pledged to Cure Kids for every kilometre swum, cycled or ran. In the 2009/2010 Tri Series the campaign raised $89,664.05.

Cure Kids was delighted when late last year Contact Energy renewed their partnership and announced that they were again pledging ‘$1 per KM'. The 2010/2011 Tri Series saw $75,273.60 raised for Cure Kids.

For the 2011/2012 Contact Tri Series, Contact Energy has again pledged to donate $1 to Cure Kids for every kilometre swum, cycled or ran in each 2011/2012 Contact Tri Series event.

This means that for every kilometre you swim, ride or run, you will be making an invaluable contribution to Cure Kids.

Remember, the $1 per KM pledge is based on the actual kilometres raced on the day. So get training, and get ready to make a difference for a charity that turns research into hope for the children and their families who live with illness.
